3.  BALL MACHINE – RULES FOR USE

The Ball Machine will not be available for awhile yet, but please keep in contact for when it will be ready for use.  Please read and understand the Rules below.  A Ball Machine Workshop will be announced soon, so you can learn how to use the ball machine safely and to keep it working properly.

1.  Use of the Ball Machine is free to our 2022 members. Please read all the RULES for Ball Machine Use.
2. New usage rules will be in place after the Workshop, so please be patient.
3.  The sessions are for a maximum of 1 hour playing time, and can be booked a maximum of 2 times per week, however, not during VTA reserved court times.
4.  Every user MUST SANITIZE  all touch-points on the ball machine, and the ball hoppers,  AFTER USE, with the antiseptic cloths provided.
5.  Signing the Green Binder in the Fabi Shack for the date and time you use the Ball Machine, and signing that you have completed the workshop is your attestation that you have followed all the rules.   Keeping track of users is a way of addressing any problem with the machine.  Thank You.
6.  The Green Binder contains all the information you may need to operate the machine safely, after you have attended the upcoming Workshop – it is imperative that you read this information thoroughly, at least the first time you use the Ball Machine.
9.  Please do not borrow or use the balls in the ball machine for any other purposes. They are to be used for the ball machine only.  Should there be any abuse or misused of any VTA equipment, you will no longer have access to it.    10. Please report any equipment problems immediately to Jackie – 778-475-1371

4.  2022 VTA SINGLES TENNIS LADDER
Please go to the “Tennis Ladder” page on the
website Menu for all the information

  1. PLAYERS ARRANGE THEIR OWN MATCHES. Ladder matches cannot be scheduled during VTA reserved times. Aim to play weekly, but it is understood that this may not always be possible. If convenient, some players may choose to play more than once per week.
  2. Play “Best of 3 sets” with a 10-point super-breaker (instead of a third full set) if the match is tied at one set each. This is a traditional tiebreaker but goes to 10 points (win by two) rather than 7.
  3. PLAYERS MAY CHALLENGE EITHER OF THE TWO PLAYERS ABOVE THEIR NAME.  If the lower-ranked player defeats the higher-ranked player, they would change spots. If the higher ranked player wins, both players are deemed to have successfully defended their current positions. If you would like to arrange a match with a lower-ranked player (one or two spots below), that is also acceptable. If the lower-ranked player wins, spots are traded. If the higher-ranked player wins, positions remain the same.
  4. MATCH RESULTS MUST BE EMAILED TO THE COORDINATOR, STEPHEN,  A.S.A.P. after your match to sblaxland.physio@gmail.com   or   604-360-6915.
The updated ladder will be e-mailed to all participants every Wednesday night. Please have match results into the Coordinator by 10 p.m. on Wednesday to be included in the updated ladder for the following week of play – Thursday through Wednesday.

Climb the ladder to your tennis success!
